Top Design Details
Resistant to cracking. Can be laundered without concern. Slight yellow pearlessence to them.
Single needle is more labor intensive (sewn twice) Flat felled make a clean finish and are very sturdy seams.
A matter of preference. We feel that a BD collar with a nice soft roll is timeless and can be worn anywhere.
Purely aesthetic choice. Single button is an American style, where as double buttons are more common in Europe.
A blue and white striped OCBD is one of the icons of American traditional preppy men's wear. Legacy items have to combine comfort, character, and quality. That is why this shirt is constructed of sewn-in interfacing as opposed to the cheaper and more common method of heat pressed fusing. Interfacing is time-consuming, but is an important sign of real quality and gives you a collar that has a gentle and elegant roll. Put on jeans and roll up the sleeves. All cotton has a nonchalance and unfussy appearance. the longer you own it and the more times that you wash it, the softer and more comfortable the Oxford cloth will become.
