Garment Description
Printing this engineered garment in Italy allowed us access to (one of only two in the world) very high end digital fabric printers. Standard digital fabric printers by nature, very quickly spray a thin layer of ink on just the outer most surface of a fabric. (much like an office printer), These super high end printers have the capacity to lay down a much heavier amount of ink and at a slower rate, this allows it to saturate into the fabric which giving it a deeper and more substantial appearance. It also results in a print that lasts longer. A deeper saturation means that because the ink is now physically a part of the cotton, rather then a thin layer that is just bonded to the surface. (common digital prints also requires using inks with more adhesives, often times this is what makes prints feel plastic) With a deeper saturation, over time, the ink will fade more eloquently, rather then microscopically chipping away.
