Lavender Poplin Short
Short Design Details
Looks professional and has the most strength to accommodate the shank & prevent spreading

Single lip stitch framed back pockets. Professional finishing detail normally found in higher end men's tailored items.
Dependable antique brass YKK zippers. Lapped installation, so that the teeth are hidden behind the plaquette.
The body and the waistband are a continuous/integrated piece, with a separate interior waistband for added structure.
A light weight long staple plain weave poplin cotton. Pre-washed and dyed in a pale lavender. Single needle tailoring at topstitch and all seams, gives it a cleaner more formal look. During Elizabethan times because of Sumptuary Laws, people were not allowed to wear any color of clothes that they wanted. These laws were strictly followed and existed to provide instant information about the people wearing them. It was a class system that reinforced social structure and was dictated by rank. Because it was the most expensive dye, Violet / lavender was only worn by those of the highest nobility.
